![]() ![]() I'm very skeptical about hardware boxes from a supplier like SSL. this is one of my most used plugs.įor double you can get a Duende and have hardware excelleration for SSL effects. Ps: i've had the Waves SSL since it came out. you'll probably get about the same from board to board (given op-amp they were -48db phase cancellation accurate. and the Waves SSL is damn close to the real deal. You have some valid points, but your blatently "in-your-face" tact-less delivery is going to overshadow them. just wait a couple of days, and the thrill will be gone and you'll be raving about the next love at first sight ![]() to give you the benefit of doubt, that you're not a shill, you sound like a kid in love with a new toy. no way that the same eq is going to be the best for vox, guitar & mastering - just no way in hell.Īnd finally, have you actually used the hardware these plugins supposedly models? i have, and waves plugs don't do it justice, not by a long shot. and it really goes without saying (but i'll say it anyway) that there's no such thing as the "best" plugin for all different types of uses. There are many instances where a particular sound is the "best" plugin, not necessarily the cleanest, nor the most nuanced (both of which ssl is NOT). are you a shill for this company or did the price affect your judgement? expensive is not necessarily better. I really hate to admit it, but these are, by far, the very best plug-ins of this type I have heard. ![]()
